Yuchong Tang is international project manager in the department of Collaboration and Alliance at the China National GeneBank (CNGB). He received his bachelor degree in biotechnology at the Tsinghua University in Beijing and his master degree in economics and management at ParisTech in Paris. He served as European project manager for 6 years in INRA Transfert, a subsidary of the French National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA). He managed a key Research Infrastructure (RI) project registered on the ESFRI roadmap (European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures) and several FP7 projects (the Seventh Framework Programme) funded by the European Commission, of which the managed grants amount from 3 to 7 million Euros per project, with project consortia consisting of around 30 partners per project from all around Europe and other EU associated countries. After joining CNGB in 2017, he worked as international project manager to enhance the visibility of the CNGB by promoting its research collaboration, expanding its global partnership network and facilitating its outreach to the global scientific communities.
