He College of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences
He College of Ophthalmology and Visual Science is the first college of optometry and ophthalmology in northeastern China, which was established in 1999 jointly by He Eye Hospital, Shenyang and Shenyang Medical College. In March 2004, He College of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences was ratified by Ministry of Chinese Education to become an independent college with undergraduate education, which has been included in the national enrollment plan. On October 20, 2007, the Inauguration Ceremony of New Campus of He College of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences was celebrated in Shenyang Qipanshan Development Zone.
The overall area of the new campus is 540,000 square meters. Based on the concept of energy-saving and eco-friendly, the new campus is the embodiment of the very latest ideas of modern, user-friendly, intelligent and e-teaching. The new design greatly improves the college’s function and operation, promotes innovative education, management and serving system, accelerates the process of He College of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences becoming a famous university worldwide.
During these ten years, He College of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences has been committed to the educational model, integrating production, education &research, and taking students’ employment demand and entrepreneurial capacity-building as our guide, then we can get our students equipped with the required qualifications and hand-on experience after graduation. He College of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences offers the following eight majors, from clinical medicine, ophthalmology & optometry, nursing, medical imaging, public administration, art design, pharmacy and marketing. Now registered students and teaching staff amount to 2500.

There are laboratories for ophthalmology, contact lenses, optometry, glass making technology, microsurgery, computer, medical imaging, nursing and comprehensive chemistry. The college also provides shuttles to the city center.
