Meet the Challenges of 2010
Along with New Year's bell, 2009 has gradually distanced. As a large family with more than 1300 members, as an Eye Care System continuing commitment to Chinese blindness prevention and treatment, He Eye Care System has pulled in its horn for battle in 2010.
In 2010, we must set up a good attitude of doing pioneering work afresh to achieve a higher goal. On a small scale, the industrial chain of He Eye Care System will become much better and more powerful; on a large scale, the national blindness prevention and treatment will make great progress. Our vision remains unchanged - to create a China-characterized eye care system, integrating humanity, internationalization, high-tech, eco-landscaping, industry-education-research, so that every family could enjoy He eye care service, and meanwhile, He Eye Care System will make a model in Chinese medical reform progress.
•On February 10, American PhD and M.D., Professor Zhang Kang was invited as the visiting professor of He College of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences.
•In March, President He Wei was selected into the top ten celebrities list of Kyushu University, Japan.
•On April 8, FHF China joined with He Eye Hospital and He Optical shop to provide training for medical staffs from Gaoan People’s Hospital of Jiang Xi Province.
• On May 9, He Eye Hospital “Medical Team” paid a return visit to the earthquake-stricken area of Sichuan Province.
• June 6 is the National Eye Care Day, which has been extended by He Eye Hospital into one month as “He Eye Care Month”.
•On July 14, European famous oculoplastic surgeon, Dr. Philippe Berros visited He Eye Hospital and brought the most advanced technique HA Periorbital Filling.
• This year marks the tenth anniversary of the establishment of HE Optical. It has launched a series of large-scale thanksgiving activities.
• On August 21, Stephen Ryan, the Honorary President of He Eye Hospital, came to Shenyang to accept the national “Contributions to Chinese Friendship Award”.
• On September 13, the opening ceremony of the largest pediatric eye care center in the Northeast area was held in He Eye Hospital, Dalian.
• Between September 28 and October 2, President He Wei attended the 2009 International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness Council Meeting in Melbourne, Australia.
• From November 2 to 7, Indian Joseph Eye Hospital, Human Resources Specialist, Ms. Aarthy Rajesh, delivered 2009 Human Resources Management Training in He Eye Care System.
• Between November 3 and 7, supported by Liaoning Provincial Health Department, He Eye Hospital carried out a volunteer medical consultation in Xianzhou County, North Korea.
• In November, He Eye Care System launched the largest optical center in the Northeast China.
• The Second Joint Meeting of Japan-China-Korea Ophthalmologists was held successfully in Fukuoka, Japan during November 28-29. President He Wei made oral presentation at the meeting.
• China Development Bank, Liaoning Branch will provide 3 billion loans, from 2009 to 2010, to support the Sishui Technology Town construction.
• From December 8 to 12, funded by the ORBIS International, four Staffs from He Eye Hospital visited some of the leading vision rehabilitation institutions in Japan.
