The official language is English. Sessions and posters will be presented in English.

The certificate of attendance will be given to regular participants. It will be distributed along with registration kit.

General Information

Climate

Weather in Fukuoka during the meeting is chilly and temperatures will be between 8℃- 14℃.

Electricity

The Japanese electric current is 100V, 60-cycle AC in western Japan. The plugs are flat two pin.

Tipping and Consumer Tax

Tipping is not customary in Japan. However, major restaurants or hotels may add a 10% to 15% service charge. Japan has a 5% consumption tax.

Insurance

The organizer cannot accept responsibility for accidents that might occur during your travel or stay in Japan. Participants are encouraged to purchase travel insurance before leaving their home country. Insurance plans typically cover accidental loss of belongings, medical costs in case of injury or illness, and other possible risks of international travel.

Currency Exchange

Only Japanese yen (JPY) is accepted at regular stores and restaurants. Certain foreign currencies may be accepted at a limited number of hotels, restaurants and souvenir shops. You can buy yen at foreign exchange banks and other authorized money exchangers on presentation of your passport.

For your Early Registration, the congress secretariat must receive the application and the payment by October 31, 2009.

    Payment must be made on-line by credit card.

    Receipt & Registration Confirmation

    Upon receipt of the Registration Form and acknowledgement of your payment, a confirmation e-mail will be automatically sent to your registered e-mail address. Please print out and present the confirmation to the registration desk on-site to receive congress materials.

    Cancellation Policy

    Please be aware that any registration cannot be cancelled after the payment without due cause.

    Abstract Submission

    Deadline of Submission has been extended until September 20, 2009.

    Guidelines for Abstract Submission

    1. Abstract must be in English, and include purpose, methods, result(s) and conclusion. The number of words for the body must not exceed 600 words and for the title must not exceed 20 words.

    2. Once you register, your ID number and password will be automatically issued, and the confirmation mail will be sent to your registered e-mail address.
    Using your ID number and password, you can revise your abstract as many times as you want during the submission period.
    *Your ID number and password is essential in referring to and revising your submitted abstract on the website. If you misplace your password, you can not refer to or revise your submitted abstract.
    Please note that the secretariat cannot tell your password for security reasons.

    3. Abstract submission will be available from June 9, 2009.
    Submission by e-mail, fax or postal mail will not be accepted.

    4. Acceptance Notice will be notified by e-mail by October 20, 2009.

    5. Accepted abstracts will be published in the Abstract Book.
