Hospital Based Program by ORBIS experts in He Eye Hospital

Between April 12 and 16, 2010, Professor Michael Paul Vrabec, an ophthalmologist from the Vally Eye Associates in Appleton, America, visited He Eye Hospital, Shenyang to carry out technical exchanges with HE’s doctors in the field of cornea. Professor Michael Paul Vrabec used clinical practice as the basis for a demonstration and explanation, and shared with HE’s doctors the most cutting-edge medical technology in Europe and his years of clinical experience, all of which provided a lot of information for reference.
Prof. Michael Paul Vrabec provided free screening to 14 patients and two of them accepted corneal transplantation surgery.

In addition, between April 19 and 23, an ophthalmologist from the Toronto Western Hospital, Canada, Professor Wai-Ching Lam visited He Eye Hospital, Huludao to exchange with HE’s doctors about retina techniques. Not only HE’s doctors got benefit, but also 10 grass-roots doctors from nearby counties and towns actively participated in the training. Professor Wai-Ching Lam provided free screening to 23 patients and two of them got surgery.
