Initiated jointly by World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB), VISION 2020, as a global program aims to eliminate avoidable blindness before 2020, and make everyone preserve the right to sight. China, as one of the nations with the largest number of the blind around the world, should set human resources training as its priority in order to solve the blindness prevention problem completely. He Eye Hospital, as VISION 2020 Liaoning Provincial Office, will follow the target of VISION 2020 by strengthening the cooperation with ORBIS International and other international organizations, and holding the ophthalmology symposiums, in the hope of sharing the latest knowledge and ophthalmology techniques with ophthalmologists based on such a platform. He Eye Hospital is looking forward to continuing to work together with ORIBS International, IAPB and other international organizations, and based on He Eye Hospital and He College of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, it is hoped to become the ophthalmology training center of Northeast Asia.
