The Cooperation between CBM and He Eye Hospital
1. From 2008, He Eye Hospital began to implement a five-year eye care project under the support of CBM.
The aim of the project is to strengthen capacity building of He Eye Hospital to provide good quality eye care services to needy eye patients in Liaoning Province.
During the period of the project, a low vision center would be established in He Eye Hospital to provide low vision service and training, and to become a low vision resource center in Liaoning Province.

In order to strengthen the primary eye care network in Liaoning Province, CBM supported He Eye Hospital to establish vision centers cooperated with township level hospitals of Liaoning Province to screen and refer poor eye patients to the hospital.

A total number of 230,250 patients including 1,250 low vision patients can be directly benefit from the project at the end of the project.
In order to improve HR management ability of He Eye Care System, CBM support to invite HR specialist Ms. Aarthy Rajesh from Joseph Eye Hospital, India to provide HR training in Shenyang He Eye Hospital for mid-lever and upper-level managers.

2. CBM and He Eye Hospital were also planning to develop the regional center of ICEH in China, by introducing the training programs of ICEH to China, which suitable to Chinese PBL situation, including short-term training courses and diploma training programs, such as Community Eye Health. It is a solution to the shortage of PBL personnel, especially in community eye health at the current stage of China.
